"Trees" are the main material and object of thought in my work. It reflects my ultimate attitude to life and art, "life is revealed by trees" through indirect and metaphorical expression. My pictures always contain "wind". This invisible vigor is realized through "breathe". I use to depict the breathing of tree instead the image of trees. Through the drawings of line I want to identify the breathe of trees and the breathe of mine, I also want to act like them.

This work is intended to be completed by the participation of audience. In the recent work of "The Trees are Standing", I hung up trees on the space which is drawn on the half transparent silk by a single stroke of ink. The trees suspended from the ceiling to the floor forms forest and depth of space by hiding and reflecting each other's body. The audience, raising subtle wind while moving between the multi-folded fabric, can experience the reaction of trees. I want to display this work not only at a exhibition hall but also on many architectures, in the open spaces, on the performance stages, and etc. to plant the breathe of life through all the modern city spaces. I also hope this performance is utilized as a healing space for modern people. Because breathing namely means "Life".
